Servicing Greater Boston
My name is Nicole Hardy and I am a speech-language pathologist based out of Boston, MA. I specialize in working with children aged 2-14 and have experience working with children at the preschool, elementary school, and middle school levels. I have also worked in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers with people across the lifespan (birth-geriatric). I am licensed in the state of Massachusetts and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
I have always loved working with children and believe each child requires a unique and individualized approach to therapy. I like to use play-based therapy with younger children as well as incorporate a child’s interests into sessions as I find this maximizes their engagement and learning. Speech therapy can be just as fun as it is helpful! It is important to meet children where they are at and prioritize connection and trust with them. I also believe family engagement and involvement is crucial to their success as a communicator. My goals are to capitalize on your child’s strengths, support and augment their communication development, build a meaningful and encouraging relationship with your child and your family, and help your child thrive across all aspects of their life.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, walking my dog, going to the beach, and spending time with my family.
It would be my pleasure to work with your child and your family to promote their communication skills, boost their self-confidence, and play a part in their development into the best communicator they can be.
